Over 1.000 projects worldwide
At Skov Industri, we work with targeted noise reduction and efficient space division, so your everyday work says easier, calmer, and safer. Our in-house produced MATADOR module is the centerpiece in many projects because it combines solid noise reduction with flexible industrial space division.
You get consultancy, design, production, installation, and service from the same partner, so the schedule stays on track and operations can continue along the way. We always speak openly about the expected effect, limitations, and costs before we start building. It is about reaching the right level the first time, not about installing as many square meters of wall as possible. In short, we build solutions that work in practice and can be adjusted when production changes.
At Skov Industri, we are proud to offer our unique, in-house solution for noise reduction and space division: the MATADOR module. This special module was developed back in 1976 and has since formed the foundation of our solutions within noise reduction, cleanrooms, and partition walls.
The MATADOR module is built as a solid sandwich construction consisting of two steel cassettes enclosing a sound-absorbing layer of mineral wool. This proven design ensures effective noise reduction and a long service life, no matter where the module is installed. The modules can be connected and stacked to heights of up to 9 meters, making them flexible and suitable for many purposes.

The MATADOR module is our proven building block for noise reduction and industrial space division in production, laboratories, and technical areas. It is a robust sandwich construction with steel cassettes and a sound-damping core, ensuring effective noise reduction and a long service life.
We handle the full process, from measurement and consultancy to design, production, installation, and ongoing service. This means fewer handovers, faster progress, and a solution aligned with service access, ventilation, and daily workflows.
Our own installers work nationwide, also in existing production environments. We plan downtime and shielding carefully, so operations are affected as little as possible. The MATADOR module can later be rebuilt or moved, so the investment continues to deliver value as layouts change.
Over time, we have produced and delivered thousands and thousands of standard modules, as well as a range of special solutions:
If you need to divide areas without rebuilding the entire building from scratch, the MATADOR module is a reliable path to professional space division. A modular wall can be installed as a screen wall or a full modular wall, from floor to ceiling, or as local shielding at half-door height.
The system suits industrial space division where you want calmer zones around processes, storage, laboratories, or technical installations.
We include service access from the start, for example with doors, gates, and removable fields. This makes maintenance faster and helps you avoid dismantling half the construction for something as simple as a filter change. At the same time, the modular walls can be extended or moved when production needs to change, without long shutdowns.
In production environments, the best noise reduction often comes from a targeted combination of screen walls, enclosures, and ceiling or wall absorbers. We identify the sources, measure levels, and calculate how much a specific noise barrier or noise-reducing wall will move the needle in dB. For machines and technical systems, we often build local enclosures, while in open areas we use a modular wall to break the direct path of sound.
We account for cooling, airflow, and access, so the solution works in daily operation. We work in line with applicable workplace requirements and document the effect before we begin. The result is a solution where noise reduction and operations support each other, instead of becoming two separate battles.
The MATADOR module is Skov Industri’s in-house produced, modular solution for noise reduction and space division. The system was developed in 1976 and is still the core of many of our solutions for companies that want better sound conditions and more efficient work zones.
It is primarily used for industrial noise reduction where there is a need to shield and divide areas around machines, production equipment, and technical installations. It can be used for screen walls, defining work areas, creating technical rooms, and as part of cleanroom solutions. The system can also be used where fire-rated separations are required, depending on the chosen build.
It is a robust sandwich construction with two steel cassettes and a sound-absorbing layer of mineral wool in between. This provides a durable solution with effective noise reduction in many environments.
The system can be moved, extended, and rebuilt as needed, and modules can be stacked up to 9 meters. That makes it suitable for both permanent and temporary solutions.
Yes. Parts can be replaced individually, and used modules can be reused, which reduces waste and supports circular economy practices.
Yes. The MATADOR module is available in galvanized steel (outdoor use), stainless steel (e.g., food industry), special sizes, and double-post constructions for extra noise reduction and fire protection.
The MATADOR module stands out clearly from more conventional solutions for noise reduction and space division because it is so flexible and easy to adapt to many different needs and environments. Traditional solutions are often static and require larger interventions when changes are needed, while the MATADOR module is designed to be moved, extended, and rebuilt again and again without compromising stability or functionality.
The self-supporting, robust system makes it possible to create tailored solutions that can carry technical installations and meet high requirements for noise reduction, appearance, and durability.
Over the years, we have produced and delivered thousands of MATADOR modules, not only as standard, but also in several special versions. We offer modules in galvanized steel for outdoor use and stainless steel for the food industry. We also produce special sizes so the solution can fit existing rooms and specific needs. For the most demanding tasks, we can deliver a 150 mm double-post construction that provides extreme noise reduction and can be used as a fire-rated BS-60 separation.
The MATADOR module can be installed on almost all surfaces and delivered in any desired RAL color. It is a flexible, long-lasting, and visually neat solution developed and produced by Skov Industri.
Noise is not only machine sound. In offices, meeting rooms, canteens, and workshops, reverberation, cross-room conversation, and hard surfaces are a large part of the challenge. Here we combine noise reduction with acoustic control, for example ceiling or wall absorbers, acoustic fields, and a noise-reducing wall as a screen wall between work zones. The result is better speech clarity and less fatigue during the day.
In open environments, screen walls and modular walls can create quiet zones or phone booths without it feeling closed off. We ensure a calmer sound environment that matches everyday reality, from open-plan offices to production-adjacent offices where conversation and process noise otherwise overlap.
The MATADOR module is made for companies that want to combine noise reduction and space division in a strong, modular system.
Modules can be stacked into tall constructions and used as half walls, full modular walls, and technical cabinets. We offer standard modules and special variants in, for example, galvanized or stainless steel when the environment calls for it.
Surfaces can be powder coated in the desired RAL color, so the wall fits naturally into its surroundings. During service or changes, individual fields can be replaced without tearing down the entire installation. In short, it is a system that is easy to install, easy to extend, and easy to move when production or layout takes a new direction.

When cleanliness level, hygiene, and control are key, we build clean zones and cleanrooms with MATADOR modules, doors, airlocks, and tight transitions. Space division can be combined with extraction, filtration, and pressure control in cooperation with relevant technical suppliers, so airflow and access work as intended.
We develop solutions for production, laboratories, food, and pharma, where cleaning, traceability, and inspection are part of everyday operations. A modular wall allows later expansion or reconfiguration without rebuilding the entire area. At the same time, noise reduction can be integrated into the walls, so staff can work with focus, even when process equipment is running close by.
A well-functioning warehouse needs both racking systems and clear space division. We install pallet racking, small parts shelving, and safety marking, and we use modular walls to separate picking, receiving, goods intake, and service areas. This creates more calm around forklift traffic and increases overview, reducing errors and collisions.
A screen wall can also protect against drafts, dust, or visual clutter from high-activity zones. For companies with testing or service workshops in the same hall, a noise-reducing wall is effective for keeping sound and activity contained. We plan doors, gates, and safety features from the start, so access remains fast and safe in daily use.
We begin with a professional on-site review. Here we map sources, production flow, access conditions, and workplace requirements. Then we present possible solutions, expected noise reduction, and costs, so you can make an informed decision. We are open about what a screen wall can do and what it cannot, because that leads to the best result.
Once the agreement is in place, we coordinate with you and any technical suppliers so the timeline holds. In-house production in Denmark and our own installers mean a short path from decision to installation. After delivery, we offer service, adjustments, and expansions, so the solution keeps pace as layouts and processes develop.
We carry out projects across industries. In industrial settings, it is often about enclosing machines, building noise barriers around fans and compressors, or creating calmer production halls with combined screen walls and absorbers. In offices and institutions, the focus is typically acoustic control, shorter reverberation time, and clear space division with screen walls.
In laboratories and food environments, cleanrooms and clean zones are often part of the solution, typically in combination with process ventilation. This broad experience means we quickly identify practical pitfalls, such as access to service points, lifting equipment, or cleaning. It is rarely the drawing that causes downtime. It is the detail we find on the floor.
The MATADOR module is not only a technical and functional solution. It is also a sustainable choice. Thanks to the modular design, individual panels can be replaced easily without dismantling or discarding the entire installation. If a module is damaged, either the whole unit or just one side (cassette) can be replaced, minimizing both waste and costs.
Skov Industri also offers to take back used modules. We sort them, reuse them, and give the products new life, often with a new powder coating. When new solutions are installed, we are happy to take old modules back so they can be used again and reduce resource waste. In this way, the MATADOR system supports circular economy and ensures resources are used as efficiently as possible, environmentally and financially.
The choice between a screen wall, a full modular wall, an enclosure, or a combination depends on sources, distances, and the desired noise reduction. An open screen wall breaks the direct path of sound and is often enough at moderate levels. A modular wall from floor to ceiling provides significantly better noise reduction and also effective space division.
Where single components create the most noise, a local enclosure can be the quick route to calm, especially if service access is planned with doors, inspection hatches, and removable fields. We calculate the effect before we build, so you know what you are getting for the investment. And we will say it honestly if the last dB costs more than it is worth in practice.
The MATADOR module is built for long-term operation. If a field is damaged, it can be replaced individually, and entire walls can be rebuilt or moved to new zones. This reduces waste, time, and costs. We offer ongoing service and adjustments, so noise reduction and space division continue to match production.
Used modules can be refreshed and used in new setups, for example with new powder coating. That makes sense both financially and in terms of resources. Our approach is practical and simple: we build for everyday work, not only for presentation images. That is why many solutions continue in new combinations year after year.
If you want to lower noise levels and create clear space division without lengthy rebuilding, the MATADOR module is a strong starting point.
